Last Saturday we warmed the cider, laid out the Palmierres (elephant ears) and baskets of treats in preparation for our first Hockessin Business Association Trick-or-Treat event.  The weather felt more like Christmas than Halloween and those of us hosting the event settled in with our coffee from The Perfect Cup anticipating little activity.  As it turned out we had an abundance of treat-ready kids happily chauffered by Moms, Dads and even grandparents.  We were pleasantly surprised, given the weather, and were delighted to share our warmth and treats.  Even some of the adults dressed up for the event.  In fact, one particular witch was the winner of our drawing for a free massage.   We look forward to taking part again next year!  In the mean time, watch for the upcoming”Hockessin Holiday Celebration” coming up on December 3rd.
